• THE BAND`S NAME: We said it! Thanks to all of you, we and most importantly, our music doesn`t feel homeless anymore, we have found a home in that special place in your hearts. So, as promised, we start the transition from THE HOMELESS BAND to GROOVE MARMALADE. Same great vibes (Even better) Same energy (Even higher) Same grooves (Even Sweeter) And much more music everytime. So remember, when you hear about GROOVE MARMALADE... yes, it is The old Homeless Band... Only Better!

The Homeless Band will be featured on a weekly basis at Timothy's Pub starting on April 8, one of our favourite places to perform. Great crowd, great food and great music, you can't miss it!

Thanks to our versatility, great energy and multi-cultural approach to music, The Homeless Band has been selected by the general Consulate of Mexico in Toronto to perform at the Official Ceremony in celebration of the 199th. annyversary of the Mexican Independence on September 11(Friday). A lot of important people in the Canadaian and mexican political scene attend this event, as it is. if not the main, one of the most important events in Mexican culture throughout the Year.

This is a gala event that will include: dinner, the ceremony, mariachi music and lots of dancing with The Homeless. We'll play the best of out Latino repertoire as well as our Soul, R&B and Motown hits,,as there will be people of all ages, Canadaians and Mexicans as well! This will be hel at:

El grupo Cien Mujeres Mexicanas Inc. invita a su celebración del 199 Aniversario de la Independencia de México el viernes 11 de septiembre en Le Jardin Conference & Event Centre (8440 Highway 27, Woodbridge, ON, L4L 1A5).
Cóctel: 6:30 p.m., Cena 8:00 p.m. Bar abierto.
Cada año se realiza esta fiesta patria con la comunidad mexicano-canadiense, que incluye la tradicional ceremonia del Grito de Independencia, encabezada por el Cónsul General de México en Toronto, Carlos Pujalte.
En esta cena-baile habrá música, entretenimiento en vivo y se obsequiarán premios atractivos.
Los boletos ya están a la venta, no se venderán  boletos en el evento. La fecha límite para adquirirlos es el 6 de septiembre.
Costo: $70 si se compra el boleto entre el 16 y el 28 de agosto. $75 si se compra entre el 29 de agosto y el 6 de septiembre.
Damas: vestido de cóctel; Caballeros: traje.
No se aceptarán menores de 16 años.

The Homeless Band has been selected by the TBS as nominees for the Toronto Blues Society Talent search 2009!

Come and support the band next August 13 @ Nathan Phillips Square at noon. Six of the best emerging bands from Canada chosen by the TBS Talent Search comittee competing for the title. Good prizes for the winner. Please check:
